Master Upgrade

If you are running an older version of ODP, select the appropriate upgrade scenario based on your environment to update to the latest version.

Warning

If the source platform version is older than ODP-3.2.3.5-x, direct mpack upgrades are not supported.

The source platform version must be ODP-3.2.3.5-x or later to perform a direct mpack upgrade. For platforms older than ODP-3.2.3.5-x, please follow the regular mpack upgrade process by removing the existing mpack and installing the new mpack as a fresh installation.

From the 3.3.6.5-x release onwards, the following Mpack services are supported for upgrade:

  • Spark3
    • Spark3-355
    • Spark3-351
    • Spark3-333
  • Pinot
  • Impala
  • Kafka3
  • Kafka2 add-on services (Connect, Cruise Control, Mirror Maker2)

Note

Do not delete the Mpack services listed above. These services are supported during the upgrade.

Note

Pause the ODP stack upgrade before performing the Mpack upgrade. Resume the ODP stack upgrade only after all required Mpacks are upgraded successfully.
