Configure Livy, Spark, and PySpark with Hue

Hue uses Livy to work with Spark and PySpark.

Before you configure Livy integration, configure YARN for Hue.

If Livy is installed in the cluster, Hue automatically configures Livy after YARN is configured.

Customize the Livy configuration

To customize the configuration:

1. In the Ambari UI, go to the Hue configuration page.
2. Go to Advanced services.
3. Modify the livy-config property.

Ambari saves the generated configuration to:

/etc/hue/conf/spark.ini
