Add Widgets to a Dashboard
You can add widgets to any dashboard, whether you started from a template or from a blank dashboard.
- In the dashboard editor, select Add Widgets.
- In the Add Widgets dialog, select a category under Categories, or enter a widget name in Search Widget.
- Select the check box for each widget you want to add. You can select up to 20 widgets at one time. Each widget card describes the data the widget displays.
- To add Compute widgets, first select an integration in Integration. Compute widgets need an integration before they can be added.
- Select Add Widgets. The button shows the number of widgets you selected.
- Select Save Dashboard.
Widgets are grouped into the following categories:
Category | Widgets in this category show |
Asset | Profiling activity, monitored assets, configured policies, data sources, and crawl summaries. |
Compute | Warehouse usage, users and roles, query activity, and storage and spend metrics for a selected integration. |
Data Products | Data quality and reliability across published data products. |
Pipelines | Pipeline runs, success rates, durations, and monitoring alerts. |

Widgets labeled Homepage are the widgets used on the default ADOC homepage. You can also add them to your own dashboards.
Filter a Dashboard
Use the filters at the top of a dashboard to change the data that its widgets display.
Filter | Description |
Time | The time period for the dashboard data. Select a preset or set a custom date and time range. |
Tag | Filters the dashboard data by tag. |
Domain | Filters the dashboard data by domain. |
Data Source | Filters the dashboard data by data source. |
To clear all filters, select the clear filters icon next to Data Source.
Set the time period
- Select the time filter.
- Do one of the following:
- To use a preset: Under Or use presets, select a preset.
- To set a custom range:
- In the left calendar, select the start date.
- In the right calendar, select the end date.
- Set Start Time and End Time.
- Check the range shown in From and Till, and then select Apply.
The following presets are available:
Type | Presets |
Minutes and hours | Last 15 minutes, Last 30 minutes, Last 1 hour, Last 3 hours, Last 6 hours, Last 12 hours, Last 24 hours |
Days | Today, Yesterday, Last 7 days, Last 30 days |
Calendar months | This month, Last month, Last 3 months, Last 6 months |
All data | All time |
When you select a preset, From and Till show the exact date and time range it covers. For example, on October 5, 2026, Last month covers September 1, 2026, 12:00 AM to September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM.
Work with Widgets
Widgets display data for the dashboard's current filters. You can interact with a widget to see more detail or change how it's displayed.
- View values: Hover over a chart to see the value of a segment or data point.
- Switch views: On widgets that include the chart and list icons, select an icon to switch between a chart view and a list view.
- Manage a widget: Hover over a widget to show its actions. Select the delete icon to remove the widget, the expand icon to view it in full screen, or the up and down arrows to scroll to the previous or next widget on the dashboard.
- View help tips: To see how a widget's values are calculated, select your profile icon, turn on Show Help Tips, and then hover over the widget.
Data Products widgets
Data Products widgets, which make up the Data Product Quality Dashboard template, also support the following:
- View details: On widgets that display a numeric value, select the details icon next to the widget title to open a panel that lists the items behind the value. For example, the Published products widget opens a list of each published data product with its status and reliability score.
- Filter from a chart: Select a chart segment or item that matches a dashboard filter to apply that filter, and all widgets update. For example, selecting the No Issues segment of the Reliability distribution widget applies No Issues (>99%) in the Quality Status filter. To remove the filter, clear it in the filter list or select the clear filters icon.
Set a Dashboard as your Home page
Any dashboard in the Data Reliability tab can be set as your ADOC homepage, replacing the default homepage for your user.
- In the dashboard list, select the three-dot menu ( ⋮ ) next to the dashboard you want to use.
- Select Set as Home.
The selected dashboard becomes your homepage. It will appear every time you log in.
Setting a dashboard as your homepage is a per-user setting. It does not affect the homepage for other users in your organization.
