Compute helps you monitor, manage, and optimize the cost and performance of the infrastructure behind your data platforms — including Snowflake, Databricks, and Azure Data Factory. It brings cost tracking, real-time monitoring, and configuration recommendations into one place, so you can control spend and catch performance issues without switching between multiple tools.
Why this matters
Compute costs on usage-based data platforms are easy to lose track of. Idle warehouses, oversized clusters, and long-running queries can quietly drive up spend, and by the time a bill reflects it, the root cause can be hard to trace back. Compute gives you visibility into these patterns as they happen, and the tools to act on them before they affect your budget or your pipelines.

Prerequisites
A data source must be connected to ADOC before Compute can monitor it. Connect the data source first, and Compute becomes available for it automatically.
