Pipeline Groups
A Pipeline Group is a resource group that collects pipelines for the purpose of domain-scoped access control. For the general steps to create a resource group and assign it to a domain, see Resource Groups.
This page covers the two ways to select which pipelines belong in a Pipeline Group.
Selecting pipelines
When creating or editing a Pipeline Group, clicking Add Pipeline Resources opens the Select Pipelines dialog, which offers two tabs.
Group by Source
Click a whole data source to include every pipeline under it, or expand a data source with + to select individual pipelines one at a time. Pipelines that don't belong to any data source appear under Others, grouped by namespace. You can search for a specific pipeline by name and press Enter.
Selecting a data source this way means the group automatically includes any new pipeline created under that data source later — you don't need to add it manually.
Use RegEx
Enter a regular expression under RegEx Patterns and press Enter (or click Add) to add it to the group. You can add multiple patterns; a pipeline joins the group if it matches any of them.
- Patterns are matched against the pipeline's full pipeline name.
- Patterns use Java/Kotlin regular expression syntax.
- After adding a pattern, the dialog shows a live preview of the pipelines it currently matches.
Because matching is evaluated by name rather than by a fixed list, a Pipeline Group built with regex patterns automatically includes any new pipeline whose name matches — including pipelines pulled in from a data source or pushed via OpenLineage — with no manual tagging required.
