Configure Pulse to Monitor Hadoop Services with Custom Settings

This page describes how to configure Pulse to collect metrics from Hadoop services with custom settings.

By default, Hadoop services expose JMX metrics that Pulse can monitor without additional setup.

If your services use basic authentication, SSL encryption, or custom ports, you must update the Pulse configuration to authenticate with the services and collect metrics.
