Deprecation
Version 4.0.0
Effective 4.0.0, the following services and actions have been deprecated.
ad-proxy
- The ad-proxy service was originally used as a reverse proxy for the ad-graphql and ad-pulse-ui services. It was introduced before those services supported native SSL/TLS.
- Because both ad-graphql and ad-pulse-ui now include native SSL/TLS support, ad-proxy is no longer required. This service is deprecated and will be removed in Pulse v4.1.x.
ad-graphql
- The ad-graphql service, which previously functioned as the default Pulse UI service, has been deprecated.
- The ad-pulse-ui replaces the graphql service.
ad-director
- The ad-director service functioned as an action service that executed playbooks on cluster hosts and supported scheduled actions.
- The new ad-axnserver service provides all existing ad-director capabilities and additional enhancements. Users should migrate to ad-axnserver.
- The ad-director service and its associated actions are deprecated in Pulse v4.0.x and will be removed in Pulse v4.1.x.
Old Actions
- All the old actions have been deprecated. For details on accessing the new actions, see Manage and Configure Actions.
- Old (Legacy) actions were deprecated in Pulse version 4.0.0 and removed from the UI in version 4.0.1.
ad-dashplots
- The ad-dashplots microservice is deprecated as part of the broader deprecation of the legacy ad-graphql service.
- The new Pulse UI now includes an updated Dashplots framework, eliminating the need for the older ad-dashplots component.
- You are advised to migrate to the new Dashplots experience to ensure continued compatibility in future releases.
- The ad-dashplots-ui replaces the ad-dashplots service.
ad-pg
- The ad-pg microservice is deprecated due to the ongoing phase-out of the legacy ad-dashplots and ad-graphql services.
- The updated Dashplots architecture uses a newer PostgreSQL image and introduces several schema enhancements and modifications. As a result, the older ad-pg service will no longer be required going forward.
- You should plan for migration to the updated Postgres-backed Dashplots stack in future upgrades.
- The ad-pg-ui replaces the ad-pg service.
